I just finished re-formatting the hard drive and
reinstalling XP. It now frequently freezes before
reaching the "WELCOME" screen. I might have to push the
reset button 2 - 3 times to finnally get it to boot up
properly. It will boot into safe mode fine.
It had none of these problems before the format and I did
not install any new devices or hardware etc... I did a
similar installation from scratch about 9 months ago when
I replaced my hard drive and had no issues.
I already tried to do a "repair" installation of XP and
it is maybe a little less frequent.
I ran a couple of system checks and everything seems to
be running properly (ie. votages, temp. etc.)
Any ideas in what I should check?
System: Athalon 900MHz, 512MB RAM, TI-4200 AGP, etc.
