XP firewall and DSL

Amy

I just got DSL for my internet connection (have been a
long time dial up faithful). I am thrilled with DSL.
However, I wonder how adequate the Windows XP firewall is
with a DSL internet connection? Should I be using
something else to protect my computer? Thank you for any
information you can provide.

Seeing as how there is a version of ZoneAlarm (www.zonelabs.com) at a great
price (read "FREE"), there is no reason NOT to install it on your computer.
It is so much more that the built in firewall.

I have used Zone Alarm in the past, before I got Win XP.
Would I need to disable Win XP firewall to use the Zone
alarm firewall effectively? TIA

There is no benefit to running 2 firewalls at the same time. I have the XP
one turned off, and rely entirely on ZoneAlarm Pro.
