XP - files hidden?

Hi all.

Wrong newsgroup? Sorry. Reader's Digest version: Computer at work
crashed, bought a new one which uses XP. Computer at home is ME
version. Backups were made on the ME to a CD then taken to the office
for loading. It shows me the files containing Word docs but not the
folder containing Access files nor the folder containing Acrobat
Reader. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Probably somewhere else on the CD (may be the directory is now under the
one with the Word documents?), or you did not effectively wrote the files
(just start doing it without closing the session properly), or you run out
of space on the CD, or you copy from the wrong "My Documents" ( if you have
configured Millennium for many users accounts), ...

Hi Michel. Thank you for the reply. I'm not a neophyte to ME but I am
to XP. Plenty of room on the CD. When I do a search of the CD on the
ME the Access files are there but when I try something as basic as
searching for *.mdb on the XP it comes back "no files found" or
whatever. I can't believe I am the first fat bald guy to come across
this. I will search the knowledge base this morning and then do the
Help thing at work when I get there today. Thank you MIchel.

Sorry to re-post but methinks I need to mention that the product is
Office 2000 Professional working with ME at home and XP at work.
