Can the fax utility in Windows XP be set to answer a
destenctive ring?

I hope some one will address this subject as I to am interested in eliminating my stand alone fax and using the computer. I have d/r now. JEB

No NT-based OS has EVER supported distinctive ring.

Distinctive Ring support:

eliminating my stand alone fax and using the computer. I have d/r now. JEB
 
I found the solution on the net 6 weeks ago. Installed it, added init string to my USr that supports distinctive ring, modified the registry, and it works perfectly.
Hope you found the fix.
