XP Fax Console

Hello! :)

I've set up one of the computers in the office to use XP Fax. This computer
is plugged directly from the modem to the wall jack for the fax line. We also
have a fax machine in the office as well but this particular computer wants
to do it through the computer.

Everything is set up and is working well but the problem is that whenever a
fax is sent from the computer anywhere we are also recieving a copy of the
fax here on our fax machine.

Is there a way to fix this? The fax console is set up to solely send, the
recieve option is not checked.

As expected. The fax machine doesn't know you've put Windows XP Fax on its
line. It's doing what it's supposed to do: respond to the CNG tones Windows
XP Fax is sending. It hears them, and it prints the fax being sent, just
like it should. The simplest fix is to unplug the old fax machine from the
phone line until it's needed; when you need to use it, plug it in. The
other alternative is separate phone lines for each.
