XP .exe file list

Good afternoon
Does anybody know of a Web page that lists known .exe files and their uses?

I'm trying to find out whether all the .exe running on my computer are
really necessary or not
When I do a Ctrl+Alt+Supp it shows about 50 running exe files! Sounds like
a hell of a lot to me, so it would be useful to find out what they all do...


Any ideas guys?
