XP Errors - Still Appear Even After Reformat

I have a Compaq system with Windows XP home edition on
it. Was working fine then last week the system kept
freezing up and giving me System resource erros as well
as explorer.exe errors. I ran three virus scans from
Norton, MacAfee and Panda. ALso, I ran virus scanner from
their web sites. Detected no viruses. About the time this
happened .. my Norton stopped scanning for viruses which
I had scheduled. I reformatted the hard drive as well as
debugged it. Everything seemed ok, got it all set back up
and the next day it started getting errors again. Seemed
to freeze up when it sat idle. The errors are as followed.

The exception unknown software exception (oxc)))TD)
occured in the app located OX77D45387.

Explorer.exe = app error. The app failed to initalize
prop (OX0001ID)

Windows error has insufficient resources exist to
complete the requested service.

I am at a lost here. Anyone have ANY ideas?

Open Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, open Event Viewer, look for
errors that correspond to when an error message appears, double click the
errors, the information contained within may give a clue as to the source of
the error.

After formatting and reinstalling XP, did you then reinstall all your
applications or is this a virgin setup with no other software installed. If
you reinstalled all your applications, try removing applications one by one
using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and running the system a bit
after each removal to see if the problem goes away. If it does, you will
have found the source and likely need to update or find a new version of
that software.

If you did a full backup prior to the reformat and then restored the entire
full backup as opposed to just your data files, you likely restored the
source of the problem, hence that might be the issue as well.

If these are blue screen errors, the referenced software is likely hardware
related, if not drivers, then the software bundle related to the hardware.
Printers, scanners, CD-RW drives all have software bundled with them. If
you had this hardware and the same version software on a previous setup,
while you might be able to update the drivers, it's quite possible the
software bundle is not compatible with XP.

HijackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.
