XP Error: The request to end the selected 16 bit task...........

The following error occurs and crashes accounting
program. (A foxpro app) Vendor says it is windows issue:

The error:
The request to end the selected 16 bit task has timed
out. The Win 16 subsystem may be unstable. Press OK to
terminate the Win 16 subsystem or cancel to leave it
running.

Any ideas? For some reason my searches in MS knowlege
base come up with nothing.

It's probably a compatability problem between your existing 16 bit foxpro
app and Windows XP. The best solution would be to have your veder upgrade
the app to a 32 bit app, then it should run fine (as long as the programmer
wrote it properly).

Have you tried running it in compatability mode? Right click on the icon
for the executable and select the Compatability tab. Check the Run this
program in... if one doesn't work, try another.
