XP & driver letters mapping of foreign partition.

My pc is dual boot XP/Linux.
XP assigns a driver letter to each Linux partitions.
Is there a way to avoid this behavior?

Run diskmgmt.msc, right click your Linux partition, select "Change drive
letters and paths", and click the "Remove" button to remove the drive
letter.
