Hi,

I am trying to setup a dialup connection to the internet,
but when I specify 'set up my connection manually' I only
have 'Connect using a broadband connection that is always
on' available for selection. What is preventing
the 'Connect using a dial-up modem' option from being
available for selection.

Most likely no modem has been recognised by Windows. Look under Control
Panel, Modems to check this.
