XP Defrag won't run, scheduled chkdsk

Hi,
I have XP with SP3, Zone alarm & AVG. My Defrag has started not running due
to a 'Chkdsk is scheduled to run...please run chkdsk'. I'vd tried running
Chkdsk /f from the run menu, from a command window and even via the file
properties of the C drive in my computer. Sometimes it runs when the PC
starts up, sometimes not, but no errors are reported ( appears to run very
quickly...) and when I try defrag afterwards, I get the same message. Please
help!!

First, you need help finding an appropriate discussion group. This is a .NET

Click the + beside English. then scroll down to Windows. In the Windows
category, open the Windows XP category. Find a group there to post in.
