xp crashed. Reinstalled but how to revive all the programs ?

My windows xp crashed to I reinstalled but it reinstalled in new folder.
Now my desktop is empty and I do not see any programs. I still have old
windows folder intact on my c drive.

Is there any way that I can copy some dlls and register is and I do not have
to reinstall all the programs ?

I would really appreciate if someone please respond.

No. You will have to reinstall the programs from the installation media
(CD's or install executable if you got the programs online).
