Hi,

My windows XP has run into trouble with Blue screen. I restarted my XP.
now it doesn't recognize any USB flash drives, it says the drive is not
foramted do you want to format it? but the same drive is accessible from
other windows workstations and servers. At the same time i don't have any
issues connecting my USB 500 GB sata hard disk or 60 GB sata hard disk. I
have problem with only 4 GB glash drive. In th mean while i have also noticed
that i can't read any CD or DVD from my DVD R/RW !!

any help in solving this issue would be greatly appriciated

Try turning off your computer and pulling the electrical plug at the
back of the tower so that it's really turned off and wait a minute and
put the plug back in and restart the computer.

If there's a blue screen, there's a STOP code and a file named. That would
be helpful information.
