XP clean install

Is it normal for two 'command prompt windows' to pop up quickly and then
close during the 'registering components' step of clean XP installation.
Tech support told me this is a sign of a trojan being installed in the
background.
 
If you're doing a clean install you should not, therefore, be online so how
could anything extra be installed?

This is a clean install, offline on a new formatted disk. It must be the new
XP CD I am using which has SP2 integrated. I scanned the CD it is clean, so
it must new with SP2. Anyone confirm this with SP2 slipstreamed clean
install??
