I'm having the same problem a lot of people are after installing SP2, my
search companion won't work. I've tryed a lot of fixes and tweaks from thwe
Kelly site, and it all boils down to I don't have a XP CD because it was on
the computer when I bought it. I can't reinstall the companion from
Srchasst.inf because I need the msgr3en.dll file from either the XP CD or the
SP2 CD which I have neither one.....
Any ideas would help here.
Thanks,
Shortfuse

Thanks again for your help.

There is no built in program that is native to XP that will create a
recovery CD set. Your computer must have come with third party software
installed.

in programs and either accessories or your computer maker,
there should be an option to create a recovery cd set of 5
discs. that is if you have a partitioned drive with a
backup copy of xp on it.

free cd, just wait 3 weeks.

I hate to point out the obvious here but you may well need to purchase your
own copy of XP. Ensure that it is the same version as that currently on your
system.
