XP CD Writer

Can the CD writer be re-installed by tweaking the Registry and what are the
settings.
 
You mean the Windows XP built in writer, why do you need to to reinstall it ?
tell us what the problem is and we will try and help you fix it.

My Windows CD writer stopped working and I get the message that the Writer
could not complete the operation. Further to this I took the advice of
another correspondent and wrecked the registry by copying the files from
another computer who's writer was OK .After reinstalling all my systems again
at least the CD writer works good .Thanks for your concern. Art
