XP CD won't boot

I have a legitimate copy of XP Pro on CD. When I use it, it boots in the CD
ROM to set up XP.

When I make a copy of it, so I don't have to use the original, the copy will
not boot. Anyone know why that might be?

Thanks.

Chris

When burning the CD you have to make the CD bootable in your burning
software, otherwise its a file to file copy.

In NERO, there is a special setting for this but I've
never used it. Avoid CD's like plague.

That's strange because my XP cd copy (made with Easy CD) boots just fine
without making any extra effort, just used the CD copier function.

Pico you must use third party software to copy a CD. XP's built in software
will enable you to copy the contents but not the boot files which are
hidden.

When using third party software you do not have to use an option that says
"create bootable CD". Just use the software's option to Copy CD.
