XP cannot Shut Down

Hi there,

Windows XP Prof SP2

For some reason or another I cannot get my PC to shut down. When I hit the
button 2 shut it down, it re-starts. It does this everytime. I did not
install any new software or anything else.

Your assistance will be very welcome.
