XP boot procedure very slow

Hi,

I just installed my Shuttle XPC SN45G. When booting XP sometimes the screen
stays black for a while after the mem check when Windows takes over then at
the XP boot screen the blue bar passes about 3 times and after that it
stops. Then the blue bar will move every 2 to 5 minutes. When I reset the
system and select "Boot normally" from the XP repaier menu everything is
fine.
The happens randomly and if the PC boots up correctly it's rock stable even
when gaming for hours.

My configuration:

- Shuttle XPC SN45G nforce2
- AMD Athlon XP3000+ FSB400
- 512MB PC3200 Samsung
- 80GB Maxtor 8MB Cache IDE drive
- Benq DW800A DVD writer
- Sapphire Radeon 9800 pro

I changed all the components above for testing purposes and even plugged in
another power supply without success.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi,

I just wanted to post the solution o my problems: it was the fault of the
Catalyst drivers. Now I'm running te Omega drivers and everything is fine
and the performance even increased.
