Hi,

I've recently had a problem with my HD running XP. I
can't boot into it, so I'm trying to either re-install XP
or repair it.

However, the issue is the six boot discs. My first disk
won't even boot up, I get "disk error i/o" I tried
booting with my Win2k boot disks and everything is fine,
except I'm not trying to boot Win2k. Any ideas how I can
around this?

Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Steve,

Make a new set of disks on another machine, the error indicates that the
floppy is corrupt.

you don't need boot disks, the xp cd is bootable.
change your bios to boot from cd first.
