Can XP backup pgrogram be made use of in any useful way, other than to sit
in front of ones system box for three days cycling one or two hundred floppy
discs through the b****y floppy drive ?

i.e. could one back up to a Roxio DirectCD (5 platinum), or v6 "Drag to
Disc," (UDF v.1.5 File System), using XP backup program, or is the XP backup
program offering the same useless crap that it's always been ?

Backup to a file, and the copy the file to CD afterwards. For more
