XP association errors

I went to:
Tools > Folder Options > File types
then found my .bmp extention
clicked on Advanced > New
For a name I used "edit" and pointed it to my new paint program.


1) I click on an image file - blob.bmp
2) Windows picture and fax viewer comes up and displays blob.bmp
- Great so far -
3) I click on the little icon to edit (closes this window and opens the image for editing)
4) my image editing software starts but...

I get error windows:

1st error window) C:\Documents does not exist
2nd error window) and does not exist
3rd error window) settings\bob\my does not exist
4th error window) Documents\My does not exist
5th error window) Pictures\images\blob.gif does not exist

When I right click one the image file, the "edit" choice does the same thing!
When I right click and choose "open with" and select my program, it starts and loads the picture

correctly.

How can I fix this "edit" link to load the picture correctly?

File name with spaces need to be included in quotes. As space delimits multiple files or parameters.
