XP, AOL 7.0, Linksys

My HP XP computer, connected to a Linksys router via a
Wireless-B, USB adapter, does not connect to AOL 7.0 after
a few AOL updates. Why? What is in the updates that
confounds XP?

I have no problem using 7.0 on my other computers running
Win98 SE: an old Gateway connected to Linksys router; and
Thinkpad using the wireless PCMCIA card.

I would prefer sticking with 7.0 for the time being as
updating the old computers to run 8.0 and 9.0 is not in
the picture right now.

If the AOL updates are what appear to cause the problem, it is possible that
AOL would have encountered this issue before or would be able to help you
with the problem.
