XP and ME P2P network problem

I can ping my me computer from my xp computer, but when i
ping xp from me, i get the "request timed out" message. if
i watch local area connection staus on the xp computer, i
can see the packets arriving in the activity box but not
being replied. Internet connection firewall appears to be
turned off.
 
Are you using any firewall? You must aslo ensure that your NIC has TCP/IP
enabled.
