xp and broadband

I am a new windows xp user and have just registered for broadband. When we 'switch users' in xp with the speedtouch connection running, the connection cuts off and the new user has to dial up again. Freeserve broadband say that it is an xp setting. Does anyone know where it might be

Are you using "Fast User Switching" (which should keep the connection
alive)?

Did Freeserver provide any special dialing software (or other software)
required or otherwise suggested to be required, that has been installed
on your machine? Also, would it be worth asking the Freeserver suppport
folks to be specific for what setting they are referring to? Their
article at
http://www.freeserve.co.uk/help/connection/connectiondifficulties/xpissues.htm#section_7
suggests they do provide software. Do you have this software installed?
