XP and AOL 8.0

I am having serious problems with AOL 8.0 and XP. I can
dial up, but then I get the message that says "AOL not
responding". I usually have to restart my computer to
log on. I read that the AOL adapter (vxd file) may cause
problems. Is anyone else using AOL and having this
problem? I've adjusted the graphics, did all kinds of
troubleshooters on my modem, etc. and still no luck

I am kind of having the same problem installing aol 8.0
onto my friends computer, but instead of going online it
restarts wen the modem intializes! i have uninstalled both
aol 8.0 and the modem and reinstalled but this doesnt help.
Can someone please help me? e-mail me or reply to this

I'm afraid you'll need to contact AOL's tech support for resolution
of problems with (or caused by) their product; Microsoft has no
control over AOL's product quality (or lack thereof).
