Plain vanilla 9800 or 9600XT. A 9800 Pro will walk all over any plain 6600
or 6600LE.

The X600 series would be the only near PCI-e equivalent. The X300 series is
somewhat below the vanilla 6600.

Ive not seen a 6600LE - are you sure he didnt mean 6800LE? Ive seen those
around and most people find they can use rivatuner to unlock some of the
extra pipelines - instead of 8 pipelines you nearly always get 12 if not the
full 16.

oh yes they exist, they are in stock at my supplier. I just normally use ATI
based products when I do a build..have lost touched with the Nvidia specs
and they are so many versions and sub-versions that it is hard to keep up
with. I normally just drop in an X700 unless they are going to get into some
high end games.
