Xfer email+ from 98pc to XPpx

I am trying to xfer email folders and content/address
book and contacts/ favorite bookmarks from Win98pc to
XPpc.

I have tried exporting from 98 to a CD, then import back
to XP. When viewing the CD, files are there. When
importing from CD, the import window does not show the
content of the folder, i.e. messages.

Dont ask me how, but the email folders transferred, but
the content in almost all of the folders did not. I NEED
this data to be transferred asap, because the 98pc is
very unstable and may not boot up again. Its doing wierd
things that dont seem to be fixable.

Have tried doing everything for the past few days but
nothing seems to work. I'm still trying to get
accustomed to XP format, so this is also a learning curve.
Please help soon.

you copied all the *.dbx files from
c:\windows\applicationdata\identies\***\outlook to a cd?

you should be able to go to outlook and import (from a "store" folder) all
your messages...address book should be easy export/import

favorites is in a folder c:\windows\favorites ...copy whole directory to xp
under documents and settings ...under your current user profile
