xd picture card error problem

I just upgraded from a 16 MB to a 128 MB Sandisk
brandname Olympus xD picture card, my Olympus Stylus 300
camera started to have problems. When moving photos from
the camera to the PC and back I get a message " Confirm
Stream Loss" and "The file "Thumbs" has extra info
attached to it that might be lost if you continue
copying. Info that might be lost includes
:encryptable:$DATA", "Do you want to continue anyway?"

Occassionally a photo is fractured vertically or
horizontally and not correctly aligned.

In addition, while I am viewing the photos that I took
and the chip is in the camera, I sometimes get a message
stating that there is a "chip error" with a "?" in red on
the screen. I can not view any photos on the camera
screen other than the last one taken. I can not advance
through all photos taken that are on the chip. All of
the photos are still on the chip, I just can not view
them. They will download to my pc for viewing, etc.
Each time I take another photo, the counter continues to
count down the number remaining.

Do you folks know what I am doing wrong? Thank you.

Thank you. I have contacted SanDisk and will see what
they have to offer.

If you had no problems before changing picture cards, it
very well could be faulty hardware,
