XBOX 360 and Vista Beta 2 error messages

Hey all-
After reading a few threads on this topic, I seem to have one that hasn't
been touched yet.
I have done a clean install of Vista Beta 2 on my Desktop and have gotten
Media Center up and running no problems.
How ever, when I hook my XBOX 360 up, it tries to connect and just hangs on
the screen saying contacting.
The Media Center, after running configure under the Extender gets to the
point where it tries to setup the XBOX and it says that there is a
communications error with the extender and to reset it.
At first I thought it was the firewall, so I disabled it and tried again,
still no joy. I then thought it might have been the router, so I plugged
everything into a hub and still no joy.
I can connect the XBOX to a windows XP computer running Media Center, no
problems, but the my Vista Computer refuses to talk to the XBOX to complete
the setup.
I guess I'm trying to figure out if there is a way I can copy the files
onto my XBOX 360 using a thumb drive or something to get them to talk.
Windows Vista sees my XBOX 360, I can ping it, I can even get properties on
it under Network (Has a funny Ipod icon though) and the XBOX 360 has no
problems hooking up to XBOX Live.
If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks
Luke

From the 5456 release notes:
Xbox 360 as a Media Center Extender

Support for Xbox 360 as a Media Center extender is not included in this
Vista build. In order to continue using the Xbox 360 as a Media Center
Extender with Vista, please remain on Beta 2 (build 5384). Support for the
Xbox 360 as an Extender will be available in a future Vista build.

So why aren't you over in the TechBeta newsgroups with this question? Or
did you obtain 5456 from "another" source?

I'm still running 5384. Just when I am setting up the extender, the PC
configures no problem, but then when it gets to configuring the device, it
says there is a communication error and to reset the extender. I've done
that countless times and it still doesn't work. I thought maybe it's a
firewall issue, so I turned it off and even plugged into a hub, but it still
doesn't work.
I'll keep hacking at it until I get it though. Seems like I'm the only one
running into this problem.
