x1950 xtx problem

Hi,
This is a dual dvi pci-e graphics inside dell xps 410.
I was watching tv when both flat panels suddenly showed
"desynchronized...". then, flashed off and on several times. I decided
to reboot, since that moment i only got one picture of the POST for
few seconds. front panel shows vga error. I suspect a bad connection.
Any advice(s) to repair this beast would be greatly appreciated.

Now that the PC was cooled down, could you see anything after turning on
the pc? I would check the fans of the display card.
