Wyse 3235 terminal dial-in to terminal Server

I am trying to connect a Wyse 3235 terminal to a Windows 2000 terminal server through a dial-up connection. The Wyse terminal dials, connects and appears to hang for a minute or two then the connection times-out. The event viewer on the Terminal services server displays a 1004 error: cannot issue a TS license, even though there are TS licenses available. When connecting from a dialup laptop or PC this is not a problem, it works correctly. The OS is Windows 2000 SP3 with Citrix Metaframe XPe and all of the latest hotfixes. I get the same error trying to use RDP or ICA as the protocol. Wyse tech support says it must be a MS issue because the device connects, but TS does no issue a license. Anyone have any ideas?

Sheesh, I love it when a manufacturer just blames
the "other guys" for a problem, rather than really
wantingnto delve into what is going on.

Ok...stepping off my soap box...what firmware version do
you have loaded on that Wyse box? If it isn't the latest
version, then I would highly recommend that you download
and update it. Many people, including myself, have had
problems with Wyse boxes not accepting licenses due to old
firmware.

The 3235 and the modem have the latest firmware. I called Wyse again and opened a new case, they could not resolve the issue over the phone. Wyse is trying to replicate the issue in their lab.
