WYSE won't connect

I have a Citrix ICA environment with WYSE thin clients. The problem I am
having is that several Thin Clients will not log on. I can ping the server
from the "refresh" screen of those Thin-Clients that won't connect.

What happens is this. You click connect, it acts like it is going to
connect, flashes the connection screen and then drops back down Connection
Manager window where you start back over.

I have tried all of the following:
1. changed IP's on the thin client. - Unsuccessful
2. Changed DNS Entries - Unsuccessful
3. Reset Switch - Unsuccessful
4. Attempted connection to Terminal Server at another location - Unsuccessful
5. Changed WYSE boxes (testing connectivity) - SUCCESSFUL
6. Terminal Server was rebooted (loaded patches last night) - Unsuccessful

So, it would seem that I have a good network connection, I can see out
(worldwide)and I know the Terminal Server is working since I have more than
hundred users active presently. The licenses are good and more are available.

I am just about positive that the issue is with the thin-client, but I have
exhausted all I know.. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Anything in the EventLog?
Are you using the latest firmware on these thin clients?
Which OS and SP are you running on the server?

Thanks for the reply -

Nothing in the event log.. Running 2003 Enterprise. Firmware shouldnt' be an
issue, there are dozens of other identical thin clients and these just
started out of the blue..

Mmm, strange that there is nothing in the EventLog.

There are a lot of thin-client specific connectivity problems, but
(nearly?) all of them have to do with the inability of the thin
client to receive or hold a license. So I would double-check the
licenses which are issued to these clients (date of issue and
expiration).
For 2003, most of them are fixed in hotfix 884570, which replaces
hotfixes 832794, 834803 and 837211 (included in SP1):

To narrow the problem down, have you tried to connect with rdp in
stead of ica? Does that make a difference?

Your statement:
5. Changed WYSE boxes (testing connectivity) -
SUCCESSFUL

seems to indicate that the problem is limited to some specific thin
clients. I would at least reset one of them to the factory defaults
(which clears out the locally stored license).

Have you tried to delete the TSlicense key under the control panel of the
wyse thin client? What OS is your WYSE? CE or XP? Most of my own WYSE clients
come with a temparary license key that usually expire in acouple of months
where i have to manualy delete the temp license and renew it on the client
side. Hope you find the answer.
