Wrong Thumbnail

I have Win XP Home SP3. In My Pictures folder, there is a .JPG file which
could be open and edit normally. However, the thumbnail of this file is not
what the actual image is. Let's say, the original image is of a dog, but the
thumbnail shows a cat.
Why and how this happened? How to make the thumbnail to represent the actual
image again?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Try changing the folder display to something other than thumbnails and
deleting the thumbs.db file. You may have to turn on hidden files to
see it. Then you might reboot and change back to thumbnails.

Thanks, Big Al, for your suggestion. However, I solved this problem by right
click and refreshing the thumbnail. Worked fine in this instance.
