I thought I screwed something up by using dialer.exe from
c:\windows written for win98 while I'm running winxp
(with its root at g:\windows). Then I realized that I
had not, the winxp dialer seems to be somewhat further
down on winxp's search list. So, I **thought** it was
using my autoexec.bat for win98 to set up the path.
Nothing changed when I changed it. I still get
c:\windows, etc. added to my path. So, I looked for
environment variables in the control panel. Only
g:\windows;g:\windows\system32;g:\windows\wbem or some
such was listed. So, Where the heck is this winxp
getting and loading all of my win98 autoexec.bat path?
Nope, not in autoexec.nt. I even scanned the registry
for c:\windows\command - which is in my autoexec for
win98. How do I get the win98 directory out of my winxp
program path? In other words, where is winxp hiding this
info so I can change it? Thanks!!
