wrong page name appears in navigation bar

How do I correct this problem? To create a new page, in
the navigation viewer I copy a page with a similar format
(like a template) and then change the name of the folder
and make my changes to the page. My problem is that now
in the navigation bar only the old name of the
folder/page that I copied appears. If you mouse-over the
incorrect name, the real name appears. But I have a
navigation bar that, on the surface, has 30 links with
the same name until you mouse-over them. This isn't
helpful to someone accessing my site. How can I correct
this problem?

Try running Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks.

View Navigation and right click each file to rename them

Rename the pages in Navigation View.
In navigation View, on each page, click the name displayed and change it to
something more appropriate.
