Wrong mail count for inbox folder.

J

Joyce

I am using Outlook 2007 with Windows XP Pro and Service Pack 3.

In the pane that lists the folders there is a blue count of (27) for the
inbox. In reality there are only 2 unread items in my inbox. Total iterms
reads (31) in green when there are really only 4 items in the inbox.

Can anyone tell me what's up and what to do about it? Thanks

Hard to say without any configuration details. Sounds like you either have a
filter applied to your view or you are accessing a shared mailbox for which
you don't have permissions to view items marked as private. In the case of
the first; reset your view or remove the filter. In the case of the last,
contact the mailbox owner.
