Wrong disk space value - HELP!!!!!!!!

Hi,
I converted an MPEG file to sn AVI file and it turned out
to be 50 Giga.
My disk space is 80 Giga and used about 30 Giga.
I deleted the 50 Giga file but the disk still shows that
I have only 1 Giga left.
I tried almost everything:
-defrag
-full scan disk
-disk clean up
-searched files bigger then 1 Giga

I know that I can format the disk but I REALY don't want
to do that.
Help!!!!!!!

Have you tried emptying the recycle bin?

If Norton's Protected Bin is installed, it was cleaned out too?
