Wrong Attachment

I'm having an Outlook 2003 problem with receiving attachments. The
attachment I get is not what one of my users sent. The user is sending an
excel spreadsheet. I get the spreadsheet but it's not the most recent
update. The spreadsheet has mulitple sheets. What the user sent, when he
checks the attachment from his outbox, is a spreadsheet with each sheet
filled in. What I get when I open the attachment is a spreadsheet with only
some sheets filled in.
 
Is the user editing the Excel file within an old mail, or are they editing
within Excel, saving, then attaching that saved file?
