One of our users is running XP SP3 and Office 2003 SP3. Just recently he
started havng a new problem. When he opens an attachment (say an Excel
spreadsheet), the application (Excel in the example) opens but there are no
data displayed. If he saves the attachment to his hard disk, the attachment
opens fine with all data displayed. He tried removing and re-installing
Office 2003, but the problem continues. Any suggestions?

Try emptying the Outlook Secure Temp folder.

We got the problem resolved. We deleted the OLK folders per the article you
sighted and it did not help. Then we tried rebooting, but still no good.
Then we removed Office 2003 via the tool in the resource kit. We rebooted and
re-installed Office 2003. Outlook was working once again.
