Writing files to CD-RW

I am having trouble getting the CD writing feature of Wimp working.
Everything works fine until the wizard is just finishing the writing
process. At that point the CD drawer opens and the computer restarts. After
restarting the files are still waiting to be copied. Funny thing is it
doesn't do it every time. Any ideas ?
 
What is Wimp? If you are talking about Windows Media Player, try
downloading the latest version and see if you still have problems.
Also, how hot does your drive get when you touch it?
 
Sorry, I meant Win XP. The drive doesn't get hot.
