Writing an email when i select contacts my contact list is blank?

Creating an email i go to select from my contact list and it is blank. Use
to work yesterday. I have over 300 contacts in my contact file.
 
Might want to specify the actual steps you are using since we can't watch
you. Throw in your Outlook version while you're at it.
