writing a powerpoint presentation to a CD

I don't know what I'm doing wrong when I copy my power point presentation to
a CD. the CD will play in the computer but I can't play it in the DVD player.
the presentation is about 77 slides long and will fit on a CD-RW (which is
what it's on now along with my zip drive), it all so has three different
songs on it while the presentation is on, quit a pice of work if you ask me!
now I just can't get the CD to play in my DVD to show it to everyone. Someone
told me I needed to Finalize the CD, but don't Microsoft do that when it
ejects? another person told me I need to get a DVD-RW to record the slide
show on. I know there's a way to do this, I've seen one that a photographer
made for my friend for her wedding. Does anyone know what I need to do?

PowerPoint projects are in a format that a DVD
player will not recognize. You need special software
to create a VCD (Video CD) Or Video DVD that
will play in a free standing DVD player. And with
any luck...maybe your DVD player will play home
made VCDs and/or DVDs.

The following article may offer some useful info:

Also..do a Google search for....
PowerPoint to DVD
maybe you'll find some options.

Good luck.

DVD players do not run Microsoft Windows and do not have PowerPoint
software. (Just as they don't have Word, don't have Internet Explorer, etc.,
etc.)

I believe there may be a way to make a video DVD from a PowerPoint
presentation, but it is not just a matter of saving the PowerPoint file onto
a disc.

Thank you very much for all ur input on this topic! I thought maybe it was

make that work. Thank you!
