WPA Harsh Punishment

I think I agree with you here. If M$ is worried about piracy then it
should seriously consider its position. It should stop selling software
and start selling bananas and oranges. Israel did a very good job
selling jaffa oranges so I am sure Bill Gates can do an even better job
out of it!.

Thanks to the people who actually tried to contibute useful information. I
think I have some researching to do as far as what I'm going to do for the
future. Some people confused my posting as whining when in fact it was
grieving.

There is just so much to take into consideration when making big switches
like an OS. Most of the hardware that I have(if not all) have driver support
for Linux. The app I'm most worried about is Sonar which I believe is not
compatable with the Penguin but like I said I have hours of researching ahead
of me.

The fourth option is to download a crack for WPA! I can't give you the
link here though but you can find it online.

Well WPA Whipped, Mr. and Mrs. Gates have been nominated as Time-Warner
people (couple) of the year for their profound (no jokes yet) generosity,
and indeed they are.

Do you think while they're in such a good, giving mood we should ask (lobby)
Sir. Bill for WPA negation in a WindowsXP SP3 package?

So now we resort to name calling. I didn't know it was against the law to
grieve about my experience with XP activation.

Ignorance is a condition, not an Insult, unless you feel it was an
insult - but only a person that chooses to remain ignorant would feel
insulted by being called Ignorant. Look up the real definition of
"Ignorant" and you'll see it's not an insult.
Yes I was ignorant when I first bought the OS known as XP, but obviously
I've learned about XP the hard way. By the way, name calling is also a form
of ignorance when there are better uses for the English language.

Read the above chap - I didn't "call you a name" I said you are
ignorant.

No one is holding a gun to your head, pick Linux if you want freedom,
just don't think that a MAC is free from issues.

Do you find pleasure in making fun of people than helping them? Go crap up
someone elses topic.

That was the whole point of my topic because I'm tired of it and I am going
to switch OSes. Your posts are useless to me.

No more useless then your post was, and actually a bit more on point. A
five minute phone call is not a big deal. However back to what you
state is the original reason for the post. If you are going to switch do
so. Don't waste our time with your ranting, whining and sniveling.

YAWN!!!

Oh, I see now, you were just Trolling as you've already been given
viable solutions, which you were already aware of, but you just wanted
to post inflammatory comments in order to Troll the group.

Sorry I didn't recognize you as a Troll earlier.

Start learning Linux now if you want to have your own PC in the future
not a glorified X Box censoring your every move.

Right on. Been saying it years, but there are many, many otherwise
intelligent people who are blind to the future.

So let me know when Billy-boy pulls that trick off! ;-)

Seriously, Billy G & his bitch are doing a lot of good with their
charitable work, but with all their billions they really could do a hell
of a lot more.

It's called assuaging one's guilt feelings.

What hardware are you changing. I have wiped out HD's, Video cards, and NIC
cards and NEVER had to re-activate over the phone, it was always done over
the internet.

I wish there were competing operating systems with the same level of
compatibility with software and hardware as Windows XP.

I hate the fact that when I make frequent hardware changes I get punished
for it by having to trade a 40+ number activation code with some person on
the phone which takes away time from the real work that I have to do.

Anyone have any thoughts. Will Vista be as unfair?

It will live and survive as long as the buyers allow it to.
