Worm virus

I know thati have this worm virus. It is really killing
my machine here and I haven't the knowlege as to how to
fix it. this computer is just bearly one years old.
Somebody please help me befor I through the damned thing
out the window!
Please help me if you can.

DISCONNECT the subject computer from any network IMMEDIATELY.
If necessary to stop the reboot process:
Start/Run
Type "shutdown -a" ENTER
Install or enable a firewall IMMEDIATELY, before connecting to the
internet:

VERY IMPORTANT to follow ALL steps, closing ports or installing the
patch is NOT enough.
Download the patch and regedit referenced in the article below.
You may need to do this at an uninfected computer and burn to CD or
save on floppies.
Each file is small enough to fit on a floppy.

After this is resolved prevent similar occurrences by installing ALL
Critical Updates from Windows Update.
Keep antivirus up to date and run at least weekly.
Install or enable a firewall.

Then,why wait?get yourself an anti-virus software.e.g
norton,mcafree or you can get the freeware like avg anti-
virus.Update your virus list regularly and also check for
spyware also.

Yours is the first post that I've seen that recommends
disconnecting from the internet immediately except for the
time necessary to download the necessary patch from:

ml for removing the Swen & many other worms. As "Bob"
noted earlier today, the patch removes the patch and fixes
the inability to regedit.exe.
