My virus cleaner program has detected a worn Nachi virus
in an .exe file in C:\System Volume Information folder (I
am running Win XP). Both the AVG virus cleaner, and an on-
line virus cleaner (Trend Micro) are unable to access the
C:\System Volume Information folder to remove the Nachi
worm I have.
I have downloaded two patches from Microsoft to prevent
any actions taken by this virus, and also to stop any
more infestation by this worm. However, I am unable to
remove the worm in this .exe that already exists.
I also cannot access the C:\System Volume Information
folder to manually delete the infected file.
Does anyone have any ideas to help please?
Many thanks,
Shaun.
