Hi, I got that stupid worm, and i had to completely delete
all of my files. I deleted everything and tried to
reinstall windows xp. My computer came with an xp package
and all that, so i was just trying to use the recovery
disks. So, I tried using the disks, but noticed a few
error messages while setup was trying to reinstall. I had
to keep shutting it off and had to start over again.
Eventually, i got an error message saying the hard drive
was not detected. I checked all my cables and they are
fine. Does anybody have any suggestions?? It would
really help. Keep in mind that I don't have windows
installed right now.

What kind of error messages were you getting? You are trying to restore an
OEM image correct?

The recovery CD you are trying to use is the one that came with that
computer isn't it?
They generally do not interchange.
Do you have a boot disk for win 95 or 98 and when you use it and run fdisk
does your hard drive show up at all? You probably need to delete and then
recreate the partition and while you are there you may as well format
although the install will do this for you.
