WorkGroup Problem

I have LAN with 3 computers connected. All are in the same workgroup.
Yesterday there was a problem with my cable connection and a cable tech came
over to check things out (they had a problem in a junction box). Anyway, the
tech was a self declared expert and was jumping all over changing settings
on my main system. Now, my main system fails with an error that I may not
have proper permissions to access the workgroup when I try to see the other
systems (the other systems see each other fine).

I've verified that I have the correct Workgroup defined and I am the
administrator.

Any suggestions on what to check?

First check with the firewall settings. The firewall needs to allow you to
access the other systems and could be setup to block that.

Yves;

That was it. I turned off the firewall for the LAN connection and now I can
see the workgroup members. Are there specific services I can enable to allow
workgroup operations without disabling the firewall for the entire
connection?
