workgroup issues (different from others, i promise)

I have a PC and Notebook, which both connect to the internet via a Linksys
router. They both use XP Home and are fully updated. I ran the home network
setup wizard on both. On my PC, when I click view workgroup computers I can
only see the PC. When I do the same on my notebook i get the error:
"Quattrogroup is not accesible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions.

The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available"

Please give me any advice, and if more information is needed then just ask.

Thanks in advance,

jquattro,
I just spent some time working on mine and it was painfull but a
learning experience.

1st if you have a firewall such as zone alarm of any other you must
allow the IP address. On the desktop get the Ip address of the laptop
and add it to the safe Ip on your desktop. Do the same to your
notebook.

2nd right click on your local area connection select properities click
the advnace button there you will find you firewall setting if the Dont
allow exceptions is check you will never make a conection. uncheck that
and that should alow you to see both computers.

Hope this helps.

I hate to be computer ignorant, but when you say add the safe IP on your desktop, exactly what do you mean? I have found the IP addresses but I am not sure where to add them. I am having the exact same problem as the first person above. Thank you.
