Wordpad - OLE - display icons for office products does not work

Running XP Pro, SP1, and Office 2003 - Open Wordpad, insert, object, select
Word Document, click on display icon but the icon does not display, only the
name of the icon. (this happens with all of the Office 2003 products and
Adobe Reader 7.0)
How do I get the icons to display?

right click my computer go to properties click on the remote tab, configure
both machine to use remote access.

Thanks for the reply however I'm wondering if you replied to the wrong post.
I need to know how to get the icons to display when inserting a Microsoft
Word document, Excel chart, etc. into Wordpad. Clicking on Display as Icon
does not work.

properties will not open when I click on it! Any other ideas.

I am actually trying to find why there is noExecute menu on my Word Pad. I
am ten years old and trying to learn how to programme so any help would be
gratefully received!
